Who I Work With

I provide individual psychotherapy for adults of all kinds: artists, (ex-)academics, the spiritually curious, the existentially-minded, those whose lives somehow fall short of what they had imagined for themselves, and those who simply desire to understand something about themselves or their family history that they have not been able to make sense of on their own. These are just some examples of the kinds of clients I enjoy working with.

I have a special interest in working with twins. You can read more about psychotherapy for twins here.

How We Will Work

In a nutshell, psychodynamic psychotherapy seeks to uncover what is hidden in order to move what is stuck. It is helpful for the client to begin with some idea of what they are seeking to understand about themselves. In order for me to understand the context of the issues you are seeking to confront, it will be helpful for us to begin our work with a thorough history-taking. This will lay the foundation of our work together. Psychodynamic psychotherapy looks different for each client. Generally, our goal is to dissolve the barriers that block you from your own vitality. Barriers to vitality can appear as different symptoms: depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, over-work and burnout, etc.

You will probably not know whether I am the right therapist for you just by reading my website. To set up a free consultation, please contact me. I will be happy to meet with you!
